Compassionate Care Adult Day Center
The Adult Day Center is available for individuals who reside in the community, including the surrounding counties of Ohio, McLean, Hancock, Henderson, Union, and Webster, Kentucky. The Center works with individuals who require someone to help take care of them, such as a parent with a disabled child or an adult taking care of his/her parents.
Individuals must be twenty-one years of age or older to qualify for Adult Day Center services. They may require daily supervision, meal preparation, assistance with bathing/grooming or supervision of medications. Persons with a diagnosis of diabetes, heart or lung disease, mental confusion, physical impairment, social isolation or other medical needs qualify for services.
Services are paid for by Medicaid or private pay. The Center is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There is a Registered Nurse on duty at all times. Staff includes a Center Coordinator and Clinical Assistants. Staff ratio per client is determined by client needs. The Center offers breakfast as needed, a hot lunch and snack daily. We utilize therapeutic activities to enhance memory, physical strength and flexibility. We also provide recreational activities such as bingo, art and music. The staff work with the client's doctor to obtain an optimal level of health and function. The nursing services provided include healthcare monitoring, medication administration, lab testing, wound care and many other skilled procedures. Physical, occupational and speech therapies are available as needed.
The Center has full time and part time openings for persons needing services. We are very proud of our new facility that includes a day room, kitchen, TV room, laundry, shower and activity room.
