Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy Services provided in the home help patients improve in daily tasks such as bathing, dressing and basic household activities. Therapists can recommend adaptations to make the home safer and help patients establish a daily routine that allows them to do important tasks without overtaxing.

A Registered Occupational Therapist:

  • Focuses on rehabilitative and adaptive techniques
  • Aims to enable individuals to become more independent in activities of daily living (ADLs)

  • Home safety evaluation
  • ADL training
  • Energy conservation skills
  • Training on prosthetic or assistive device use
