The Green River District Home Health was established in 1972.  The Green River District Home Health is the longest operating Home Health Agency in the surrounding area.  We provide services to the 7 counties in the Green River Area which include Daviess, Henderson, Ohio, Hancock, McLean, Union and Webster Counties.  The Green River District Home Health Agency is a non-profit agency. What is Home Health?

Green River District Home Health uses a team approach involving the patient, family physician and home health staff.  We offer services to recovering, disabled or chronically ill persons who need treatment and/or assistance with activities of daily living that cannot be provided continually by family or friends. 
Home health care is a better and more cost-effective alternative to a hospital, long-term care facility or retirement residence. Home Health allows people to stay in their homes, preserving their independence and dignity, and enhancing their quality of life.

Home care is available to individuals of all ages with a wide range
of health conditions. However, the need for home care is generally
triggered by one of the following situations:

• Being released from the hospital following a sudden event such as a heart attack, stroke or injury.
• An ongoing health issue that requires a greater level of care than you currently have available to you at home.
• You are finding it more and more difficult to take care of yourself and your home.

Hours of Operation

Office hours for the Green River District Home Health Agency are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

A skilled nurse is available for referrals and to take calls 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Home visits will be provided as ordered by the physician.
