Perinatal Home Visiting Program
Perinatal services are provided by RNs. If you or your child participates in the Medicaid or WIC program, you will qualify for the Perinatal Nurses to make a home visit. The visiting nurse will conduct prenatal, postpartum, and infant assessment and will educate the parents during these assessments. The nurse will also provide basic breast-feeding and formula feeding instruction and will assist with breast-feeding and other feeding problems. The visiting nurse will also provide nutritional information and diet counseling along with basic health care information. The nurse will also monitor the infants growth and offer parenting information and community referrals. To contact a Perinatal home visitor please call:
